Stabilization is a set of algorithms that make your videos less shaky and more stable.

Most of us shoot videos from our hands and without a tripod, so there's a high chance the video will come out shaky.

Although modern smartphones and cameras have in-built stabilization mechanisms, they aren't perfect and your video sometimes still comes out shaky.

This is where the AI Stabilization filter comes into play. With a click of a button, our intelligent algorithm will stabilize the whole video.

Choosing the appropriate settings

AI Stabilization filter has one extra setting: Strength. It's a slider with values that go between 1 and 10.

The higher the Strength value, the more stabilization will be applied to your video.

For very shaky videos you should apply a higher Strength value. The opposite goes for slightly shaky videos.

If you aren't sure how shaky the video is, simply choose the middle value (5) as this will give you a good starting point.

Higher Strength values can make your video look zoomed-in so only apply higher values if the shaking is extreme.

Troubleshooting

Black bars around the video are shaking

If the video has black bars on its sides which is common for older videos, the stabilized video may come out with moving black bars on the sides.

We recommend you trim the black bars before applying the AI Stabilization filter to avoid this issue.
