Let's explore video framerate, also known as FPS (frames per second). This refers to the number of frames displayed per second.

Typically, we view videos and movies at FPS rates between 24 and 60.

When the framerate drops below 20 FPS, the motion appears choppy and becomes difficult to watch for extended periods.

To see how FPS impacts motion smoothness, check out the video below:

In order to have a better visual experience, it is wise to apply an FPS booster if the video framerate is lower than 20 FPS.

The average human eye cannot process visual data at speeds exceeding 60 frames per second. Therefore, increasing the FPS beyond this point will not enhance the viewing experience.

You can easily verify the video framerate using your preferred media player or by checking the FPS column on the Uploaded videos page.

It's worth noting that most modern video cameras record at 60 frames per second (FPS).

To align with today's standard and ensure optimal viewing across major platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, It is recommended to convert any video with a lower frame rate to 60 FPS or higher.
